Old-Style Passai

Background

Koryū Passai is the old-current Passai, kept on this wall as a third form beside Itosu’s and Matsumura’s. “Koryū” marks it as the older stream, rather than a version revised for school teaching. It is practiced as its own kata, with the fortress-entering idea of Passai in an earlier arrangement.
