Naihanchi 1–3

Background

Naihanchi is the root kata of Shuri-te Shōrin-ryū. The first form is the classical kata; Itosu Ankō added the second and third so the study could proceed in order. Stance, hip, and short-range power in this system are all learned from Naihanchi, and students return to it at every rank.
