Wanshū

Wanshū

Background

Wanshū is named for the Chinese envoy Wanshū and is one of the classical Shuri forms. The kata is compact: a hidden fist, close-range drops, and a throwing feeling rather than long attacks. These plaques place it in Sensei Tsuha’s empty-hand order, after Jion and before the old-style Passai.
