Hamahiga’s Tunfa

Background

Hamahiga no Tunfa is the tunfa kata of Hamahiga, the same tradition named on the sai plaque above. It is a different kata from Yara-gwa nu Tonfa. The tunfa, a handled club, is studied through swings, blocks along the forearm, and the change from the guarded position to the extended strike.
